Beethoven’s Seventh is the exhilarating climax of a rare visit from the Basel Symphony Orchestra and superstar cellist Sol Gabetta.
Conducting is the Basel Symphony Orchestra’s chief conductor, British maestro Ivor Bolton. He’s got a real chemistry with this leading Swiss orchestra, and together they’ll be opening the concert with a delightful comedy overture by Mahler’s maverick friend Ferruccio Busoni. Up close in Town Hall, you’ll almost be able to touch the sound.
