The classical music magazine 'Classica' describes the pianist Marie-Ange Nguci as an "accomplished artist", despite her still young age of 25. With her simultaneously virtuoso and visionary interpretations, she is currently conquering concert hall after concert hall around the globe. At the concert of the Sinfonieorchester Basel, she will be facing the young Armenian soprano Juliana Grigoryan. She has yet to make her breakthrough - so far she has been active mainly in her home country. It was only in the current season that the international terrain was added, albeit already with weighty names such as La Scala Milan. Together with the symphony orchestra from neighbouring Switzerland, the two young artists undertake a musical journey that takes them from Spain to the Orient, to the New World and even to the moon. The latter, of course, in a figurative sense, through the Song to the Moon - a real opera anthem from Antonín Dvorák's most famous opera Rusalka.
