In the 2021/22 season, the Mädchenkantorei Basel celebrated its 30th anniversary. Asked what the theme of a new choral work with orchestra to be created for this occasion should be, the young singers wanted a project that would reflect and let their voices resound politically, socially and individually. The result was a work for women's voices in several movements, which in the most diverse ways makes the lives of women in Basel and Switzerland in the past, present and future be heard. This season, the anniversary concert, which had to be postponed in 2021/22, will be held on International Women's Day.
