With fiery Latin American dance rhythms such as samba, tango and mambo, this concert is bursting with energy and the joy of movement. Besides Frank’s and Ginastera’s orchestral dance pieces and an excerpt from the musical hit West Side Story, the virtuoso improvisor and composer Gabriela Montero performs her temperamental piano concerto No. 1. This concert takes place as part of the Culturescapes festival.
