A magical evening: Classic meets Pop at Summerstage Basel 2025

On Wednesday, 25 June 2025, a unique musical highlight awaits you at Summerstage Basel: the renowned Sinfonieorchester Basel presents 'Classic meets Pop' - a thrilling concert that combines classical music and pop in an incomparable way. Special guest: Ritschi, the unmistakable voice of the Swiss music scene and frontman of the cult band Plüsch.

The Sinfonieorchester Basel, one of the oldest and most important orchestras in Switzerland, renowned for its sound culture and musical excellence, will bring an energetic reinterpretation of pop hits to the stage under the direction of English conductor Robert Emery.

The highlight of the evening will be a live performance of Carl Orff's powerful Carmina Burana by the Sinfonieorchester Basel, together with the choir and extra choir of the Theater Basel.
