Your Support

The Sinfonieorchester Basel receives generous funding from the canton of Basel-Stadt. Nevertheless, or perhaps precisely because of this, the orchestra also relies on private support. Public funds cover basic operating costs, while private funds enable artistic excellence, innovation and the promotion of young talent.

Your donation will help to strengthen the Sinfonieorchester Basel in its role as a cultural provider and leading institution in the field of classical music. We use donations to realise these three priorities:
 

• Artistic quality: international guest conductors and soloists, performances of the highest artistic quality, commissioned compositions and world premieres
• Young talent and education: programme for around 8 interns per season, school concerts, community projects, educational programmes, inclusive programmes
• Orchestra of the future: innovative and new concert formats, tours and digitalisation measures

If you wish to earmark your donation for a specific purpose, we will of course use the funds in accordance with your instructions.
