Orchestra Management

The office of the Sinfonieorchester Basel consists of a dedicated team of 20 employees who play a central role behind the scenes. They are responsible for planning, organising and implementing around 110 events each year, each of which is accompanied by targeted communication and public relations work. These include major symphony concerts at the Stadtcasino Basel, opera productions at Theater Basel and chamber music projects at the orchestra's own rehearsal centre on Picassoplatz.

The orchestra's concert tours in Switzerland and abroad, as well as its wide range of music education formats – such as school visits, family concerts and participatory projects – are also coordinated by the office. Whether it's a dress rehearsal or a concert evening, a festival performance or an educational event, nothing would run so smoothly without this well-coordinated team. With their extensive expertise, organisational flair and love of music, the staff ensure that every concert is a special experience.
