Orchestra management

Around 20 people work in the orchestra management of the Sinfonieorchester Basel. Together they plan and organise some 110 events each year. Their work spans concert planning, production, marketing, communications and outreach.

These include the symphony concerts at the Stadtcasino Basel and the opera productions at Theater Basel. Chamber music projects take place in our own rehearsal centre on Picassoplatz. The team also coordinates the orchestra's tours at home and abroad. And it runs our education formats: school visits, family concerts and participatory projects.

The management team works closely with the orchestra's 100-plus musicians. It is also the first point of contact for media and partner institutions. Below you will find the whole team, with responsibilities and contact details.
