Symphony concerts at a special rate
School groups are welcome to attend the symphony concerts of the 2026/27 season (except for the Advent, New Year's Eve and anniversary concerts). An introduction to each symphony concert will take place before the performance. Please refer to our concert calendar for information on programmes and performers.

Rehearsal visits
It is fascinating to watch and listen to a professional symphony orchestra rehearsing. That is why the Sinfonieorchester Basel cordially invites school classes to attend an orchestra rehearsal. Rehearsals take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (subject to change). A rehearsal visit is particularly rewarding if you can experience the results of the rehearsal work in the corresponding concert the next day or the day after.

Orchestra musicians in the classroom
Members of the Sinfonieorchester Basel visit schools, talk about everyday life in the orchestra and answer questions. The content is determined by mutual agreement. The offer is free of charge but can only be taken advantage of in conjunction with a visit to a symphony concert.
Suitable for secondary school levels I and II. This offer is limited.
