In a lovingly designed atmosphere, we invite the very youngest children and their parents to a musical experience that encourages them to listen, join in and marvel. Laughter, singing and clapping are all welcome as the senses are gently stimulated with sounds and different materials. A unique musical experience for babies and toddlers up to the age of 2.

maxi.musik – Familienvorstellung

Our maxi.musik concerts are specially designed for children between the ages of 7 and 12 and invite them to immerse themselves in the world of classical music. The lovingly designed productions offer an immersion in musical experiences that both entertain and stimulate musical perception and interest in classical music.

mega.musik 'Symphonic Games' – Familienvorstellung

What happens when a symphony orchestra meets video games? World-renowned conductor Eímear Noone - the 'Irish Queen of Game Music' and composer of World of Warcraft - leads the Sinfonieorchester Basel through the epic soundscapes of Legend of Zelda, Starfield and Mario + Rabbids. A concert highlight for gamers and music lovers alike.

What makes this project so special is that young participants from the age of 12 were actively involved in its creation. In an exciting workshop process, they created a new composition together with Swiss game composer Michel Barengo. Experience the world premiere of this piece, along with a new arrangement of music from the Swiss game Bämeräng.

Yoga with Live Music

Every first Sunday of the month, we offer a special yoga session at the Probezentrum on Picassoplatz. Under the guidance of experienced yoga teacher Nathalie Bont, both beginners and advanced students can experience the connection between yoga and live music. Musical accompaniment by members of the Sinfonieorchester Basel creates a unique atmosphere. Please bring comfortable, warm clothing and if possible your own yoga mat.
