Once again this year, the Mädchenkantorei Basel choir will be singing beautiful pre-Christmas carols at the Basel Symphony Orchestra's Advent concert. Special guest performer will be the acclaimed Swiss baritone Äneas Humm, who will be performing moving arias by Mozart and Wagner as well as songs by Hans Pfitzner. Together with the Mädchenkantorei choir, he will be presenting a new arrangement of Florian Walser's popular Christmas medley. Under the baton of Austrian conductor Katharina Müllner, works by Korngold and Stenhammar will also be performed. A festive programme to get you in the mood for Christmas.
