Community Music in Basel
When children create music together
During the autumn holidays in 2025, the Sinfonieorchester Basel teamed up with the Spielwerkstatt Kleinhüningen to run a community music holiday project for children and teenagers. Without any prior knowledge, the participants developed their own songs, improvised together and presented their music in a concert for parents and relatives at the end of the project. The focus was on participation, creativity and making music together as a social experience in the neighbourhood.
