‹Verdi Requiem›

60 students from the Liestal and Muttenz secondary school choirs and the Sinfonieorchester Basel staged a flash mob on Barfüsserplatz in Basel on Thursday, 25 August 2022. With Giuseppe Verdi's ‹Dies Irae›, the students and musicians, led by conductor Leonardo Sini, gave an impressive foretaste of the joint concert, at which the entire Requiem was performed in the sold-out Stadtcasino Basel.

'Vo Bärg und Tal'

In the course of the seasonal theme 'Origin' of the 21/22 season, the Sinfonieorchester Basel performed the sing-along project 'Vo Bärg und Tal' with two formats: With the 'Singalong Mobil', an octet of the Sinfonieorchester Basel visited twelve old people's centres in Basel-Stadt and Baselland with a folk music programme. On 31 March and 1 April 2022, the programme was performed with a large orchestra as a sing-along concert 'Vo Bärg und Tal' at the Stadtcasino Basel with over 250 primary school pupils and the choirs of the Mädchenkantorei Basel, Knabenkantorei Basel and the Notabene Basel chamber choir conducted by Marco Amherd.
